The Italian police arrested an IS supporter with alleged contacts in Germany.
After weeks of investigation, the 19-year-old woman was arrested in Milan on Wednesday morning.
The Italian had radicalized herself at the age of 16 and was an "ardent supporter" of IS.
"Recently" she married a fighter in Germany and stayed in contact with him over the past few months, it was said.
The man with roots in Kosovo had connections to the IS sympathizer who killed four people and injured more than 20 in a terrorist attack in Vienna on November 2, 2020.
According to the police, propaganda material such as videos of the murder and beheading of the French teacher Samuel Paty in October 2020 and more than 2000 related chats were discovered on the woman's cell phone.
According to the investigation, the arrested woman mainly looked after the women of IS fighters and collected money.
