The family of Natalie Oknin, who was imprisoned in Istanbul last week along with her husband Mordi, spoke with her this morning (Wednesday) for the first time since the couple were arrested on suspicion of espionage, after photographing Turkish President Erdogan's palace.
In the exciting conversation, which took place at 9:00 and lasted about four minutes, Natalie's daughters promised their mother that they would stay strong for her.
"If you are strong, I am strong," Oknin replied.
During the conversation, Natalie described her last days in the holding cell.
"They did not hit me, beat me or touch me. It is difficult for me but I manage. They brought me a box of chocolate to spread, fresh bread several times a day, shampoo, conditioner, everything. I do not go out but I have a window. I see sunrise, I I see sunset, I see planes. "
"It's hard for me but I'm getting along," she said, adding that she talks to other inmates in Spanish and English.
"I'm happy to have you," she told her family.
The call was conducted at a rapid pace, due to the shortness of time.
She turned to her daughter Shiraz Ben Harush, who has appeared on various channels in recent days and said "what a mind and how great you are that you were interviewed on TV."

At Natalie's excited request, her daughter Shoval sang the song "Only for Mom" by singer Etty Bitton.
The family members strengthened her and informed her that Prime Minister Bennett and Foreign Minister Lapid were working on the couple's case.
Natalie's daughters told her that her little son Ofek "knows nothing. He does not ask many questions, but we told him you are not coming back because there are no flights to Israel."
They assured her that "just as we are guarding you we are guarding rebels," who has yet to receive a similar call.
