"Offered a private lesson - and valid": A teacher from Ashkelon is accused of indecent acts on his 15-year-old student
The Southern District Attorney's Office has filed an indictment against Dror Levy, 60, who runs an art department for high school cooking in the city.

The Southern District Attorney's Office today (Wednesday) filed an indictment in the Be'er Sheva District Court against Dror Levy, a 60-year-old teacher from Ashkelon, for committing indecent acts and sexual harassment against his 15-year-old student.
According to the indictment, the student studied art cooking at the Amit Technology Center in the city, a course run by Levy.
According to the indictment, the defendant approached the complainant at school and suggested that he prepare a traditional Yemeni pastry with him in an individual lesson, as well as celebrate a "Yemenite holiday" together, and the 15-year-old accepted his offer.
Ten days ago, the minor arrived at the trend building for the individual lesson, equipped with a recipe for a pastry he received from his mother.
Near his arrival, the teacher shook the student's hand, signaling and explaining to him that he was interested in having sexual contact with him, according to the indictment.

The indictment states that the defendant and the minor entered the trend hall, and there during the preparation of the recipe, the defendant made offers to the minor of a sexual nature and committed indecent acts on him.
Subsequently, the defendant invited the minor to a warehouse to arrange shelves and also there committed obscene acts there.
The minor tried to evade the defendant and get out of the warehouse, shoved the defendant in the abdomen and even hit him in the penis, but the defendant continued his actions.
The minor came out of the warehouse upset and then went to a friend and told him what had happened, while crying at school.
The indictment further states that Levy told the student at the school statements of a sexual nature even before the individual meeting and during the school year.
The indictment attributes to him the commission of sexual offenses by a responsible or helpless person (indecent acts) and sexual harassment.
The prosecution requested that his detention be extended until the end of the legal proceedings against him.
