A November as it stands in the book.

The "gray month" is gray, cold and wet this year in Bavaria.

But gray could soon become white.

Munich - gray skies for days, cool temperatures and rain again and again.

The weather in all of Bavaria could currently be a reflection of the dark corona situation that prevails in large parts of the Free State.

Classic November mood in terms of weather.

But at least current maps promise sunshine at least one day a week.

But much more exciting: weather models see a real onset of winter in and around Munich - and even name a specific day for it.

Weather in Bavaria: "Snow bomb" expected - expert explains forecast

But what can Bavaria expect?

As the graduate meteorologist Dominik Jung from

wetter.net

predicts, on Friday, November 26th, the first snow of the season could occur in large parts of the Free State.

The ECMWF weather model (European Center for Medium-Range Weather Forecasts) sees a “snow bomb” coming to Bavaria on Friday next week (November 26th), as Jung explains.

The model sees large parts of Central Europe, from Berlin to Paris and Prague under - at least a thin - blanket of snow.

A real “snow bomb”, according to Jung, should, however, await large parts of Bavaria.

According to current calculations, Munich then expects a whopping 13 centimeters of fresh snow.

In the direction of the Alps, it should now be significantly more.

According to the current calculations, it should snow all over Bavaria.

In the Allgäu, the largest amounts of fresh snow are expected at just under 20 centimeters.

But even around Nuremberg in Franconia, a lot of white splendor is calculated with 20-21 centimeters according to the current status.

But be careful: Jung himself names the ECMWF snow forecasts as not too accurate, and the forecast is very far in the future.

Nevertheless: “Definitely a nice weather map for us winter friends,” Jung concluded.
