The Directorate of Transport in Aleppo has completed 264,265 transactions for machines and vehicles, at a rate of 1,500 transactions per day, during which 390,113 vehicles have been registered since the beginning of this year until today, including 2,712 modern vehicles.
And Abdel-Fattah Al-Ways, Director of Transportation in Aleppo, said in a statement to SANA reporter that the revenues collected during this year amounted to 8 billion and 999 million Syrian pounds, pointing to the continuation of work in electronic archiving of vehicle documents and transactions, where images of transaction documents were stored according to a database that obviates the need to refer to previously completed paper transactions. This is within the electronic file of the vehicle.
Alwes explained that the electronic payment feature has been activated, whereby the fees for transactions completed in the directorate are paid through electronic payment through a special application on the auditor's mobile phone and through a special bank account with one of the banks approved by the Ministry of Transport for the electronic payment service.
He pointed to activating the principle of a single window by redistributing work to the directorate’s halls according to the computer powers based on the central transaction program at the Ministry of Transport, so that each specific transaction specific to each of the directorate’s “legal-vehicles-technical” departments is completed, and the employee of each department completes all types of transactions What achieves speed in serving the citizen.
He pointed out that the technical inspection committees for vehicles have been reconfigured on an experimental basis so that each inspection committee consists of an engineer to conduct the vehicle inspection and the specified numbers, and the electronic vehicle license renewal service has been activated, allowing the possibility of renewing the vehicle's license via the Internet.
