The Ministry of Water Resources put a scientific research pumping station in Barzeh into service, at a cost of one billion and one hundred million pounds, and it includes ten wells.
The project aims, according to the Ministry’s clarifications, to provide drinking water to high areas in the Barzeh sector and a number of Rukn al-Din neighborhoods. The number of beneficiaries is 400,000 people. It includes a set of pumps, generators and electrical panels that pump water from wells to the areas targeted for nutrition.
The station operates according to an integrated remote control system that includes the possibility of controlling the pumping intensity and comprehensive monitoring of the station's equipment. The production capacity of the station is 6000 m3 per day.
