Everything had already been prepared for the Christmas market in Altdorf, explains Mayor Martin Tabor.
It is mostly run by clubs, which gradually had to be canceled.
Nürnberger Land: Musical Sunday for consolation
In Burgthann, the decision was made to hold a “Christmas, musical Sunday” instead of the Christmas market, which will take place on December 12th between 3pm and 8pm in the courtyard.
Sandra Semsch from the Burgthann community promises there will be no stands there, but a small stage program as well as mulled wine and pretzels.
The 2G regulation applies on site.
In Feucht, on the other hand, there will be no alternative to the Christmas market.
There, in view of the increasing number of infections, the declared disaster and the “red” of the hospital traffic lights, the decision was made to cancel.
The health of the individual now comes first, said Mayor Jörg Kotzur.

Hersbruck has also removed its Christmas market from the calendar.
Operator Gerhard Kratzer would still like to create a little Christmas atmosphere.
"The increasing incidences are amazing," he explained to

“I'm going to make a Christmas winter beer garden, though, it'll be wonderful.” The event is scheduled to take place on November 25th under 2G conditions.

In Lauf, we are still waiting to see what the federal and state corona summit will bring on Thursday (November 18).
"We have no program and no shelters and also more space," said chief planner Horst Fischer.
The opening was planned for November 25th.
Whether it will take place, however, is still in the stars.
Schwarzenbruck could have celebrated an anniversary this year - the Christmas market has been there for 25 years.
"Our stall operators do all of this on a voluntary basis and put a huge amount of commitment into the market," says Michaela Kirnberger.
Scary incidence figures and full hospitals would have caused the operators to cancel.
