The International Atomic Energy Agency has revealed that Tehran has significantly increased its high-grade material reserves.

The Atomic Energy Agency announced today (Wednesday) that Iran has significantly increased its enriched uranium reservoir since signing its nuclear deal with the six powers in 2015.

A confidential report released by the agency to member states states that Iran has made a dramatic increase in the reservoir since last August and that it now possesses 7.7 kilograms of enriched uranium to a level of sixty percent, an increase of eight kilograms since August.

The concern that emerges from the agency's documents is that uranium enriched to such a level could easily undergo a process of further refining and be used to build nuclear weapons in a short time.

The agency told the member states that it had not yet been able to satisfactorily confirm the data on Iran's uranium reserves, due to the lack of surveillance and inspectors at Iran's nuclear facilities over the past year.

The chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency, Rafael Grossi, is expected to land in Tehran next week in an attempt to leave tensions with the regime behind and he is expected to meet with Iranian Foreign Minister Amir Abdulhian and the director of the Atomic Energy Agency, Muhammad Islamic.

In the wake of the crisis of confidence that has characterized the relationship in recent months, the chairman of the International Atomic Energy Agency (IAEA) will hold a round of meetings with senior figures in the Islamic Republic in an attempt to bridge the gaps before the 29-month nuclear talks in Vienna begin.

Before that, the governors' conference of the atomic organization will officially convene the capital of Austria and so Grossi will strive to reach signed understandings to present to the 35 members after a series of blatant violations by the regime in recent times.

State officials confirmed to the Wall Street Journal on Tuesday that as of August Iran has increased production of centrifuges and other sensitive equipment at a "civilian" facility in Karaj, northwest of Tehran.

It is a production line used by the regime's nuclear program and was under the supervision of the IAEA until a mysterious sabotage attributed to Israel damaged surveillance equipment there. Since then, the Iranians have prevented access from international inspectors and the facility operated freely without supervision and control
