Elizabeth II returned to hold official meetings at the palace and was scheduled to meet with British Defense Chief of Staff Nick Carter • The Queen was also photographed on a palace balcony • Prince Charles: "Her condition is very good, it's not easy being 95"

The Queen of England, Elizabeth II, announced today (Wednesday) her return to the agenda after last week canceling participation in a memorial event due to severe back pain.

The Queen was destined for the Winsor Palace with the Chief of Staff of the British Army, General Nick Carter, and then went out on the terrace where she was photographed. The queen looked bent and pale but walked on her own and looked alert. According to a publication of the palace, the meeting was held on the occasion of his retirement from the post of General Carter.

This is the first meeting the Queen has had since canceling her participation in a memorial event in central London. The palace announced on Sunday that the Queen was sorry she had to cancel her participation in the event due to a sprain in her back. Her son, 73-year-old Prince Charles put the bouquet at the event in its place.

This is an annual ceremony that takes place every Sunday of the second week in November. National Remembrance Day is celebrated all over the kingdom in many ceremonies, which also include two minutes of silence. For the Queen - who experienced World War II as a girl, and now serves as the supreme commander of the armed forces - it was important to be present at the main ceremony, especially in light of last year’s harsh restrictions on the format of ceremonies because of the corona.

This is the third public event the Queen has recently canceled. As you may recall, last month she canceled her visit to Northern Ireland hours before it was due to take place, and about two weeks ago announced with great sorrow that she would be forced to attend the Great Climate Conference in Glasgow, where she was to host dozens of world leaders.

Today the prince referred to his mother's medical condition and said that the queen: "In very good condition. It is not easy to be 95 years old."

Last month the queen was hospitalized for about a day after feeling unwell, since rumors of her medical condition are circulating in the kingdom and many are wondering if the moment when she will announce the transfer of the crown to the regent, Prince Charles, is near.
