Bingyu made it clear that his family was worried about the future of the design industry, and he did not want to disappoint his family. He was under tremendous pressure.

He participated in the "Disney Fantasy Engineering Hong Kong Challenge" in 2012, won the championship in the attraction design competition, and embarked on the road of Hong Kong Disney's designer.

To prove his ability, Li Bingyu and his classmates participated in the second "Disney Fantasy Project Hong Kong Challenge" at that time.

The topic of the year was to design a new attraction about Toontown to attract tourists. He described it as "a good opportunity to express yourself and apply the skills learned in the school." At that time, the competition prizes were very rich. In addition to receiving bonuses, they could also receive a period of two months. An internship opportunity at Disney.

Li Bingyu and his team decided to design a complete attraction with the animated character Roger Rabbit as the theme, including restaurants, game facilities, and a whole day of amusement activities for tourists.

He laughed and said that there were only two to four members in each group. At that time, he was still participating as a student and still had to take care of his studies. In the end, he spent the first half of the year to complete the entire project.

After winning the event, he was able to personally contact Disney's work and get to know the operation of the entire park. Li Bingyu described it as "curious and wonderful."

As a Star Wars fan, he is most unforgettable to participate in the design project of the "Star Wars Speed Shuttle" facility, because he wants to turn the original "flying over the space mountain" into a rebel base roller coaster with star wars elements.

Li Bingyu hopes that the game design is as close to the movie scene as possible. For example, the famous X-Wing fighter is presented to guests at a ratio of close to 1:1.

He described "It's so fun to do research (investigation)... It's so satisfying to draw from a computer, to see the real thing, and to see the pictures of the guests in the same place."

The "Disney ImagiNations Hong Kong Challenge" (Disney ImagiNations) was reopened this year after two years of suspension.

Li Bingyu sent a message to the contestants that the design needs to be experimental and innovative.

He believes that the key to winning that year was to understand Disney's brand and story, and the design also needs to be in line with Disney's purpose.
