Moosburg has a number of beautiful playgrounds, but the offer is rather poor for young people from the age of twelve.

That should change.

Moosburg

- The two young city councilors Verena Kuch (Greens) and Julian Grübl (Fresh) applied to upgrade a leisure area between Thalbacher Strasse and Staatsstrasse.

Older young people could get a place there for encounters and sporting activities.

Sports advisor Verena Kuch, youth advisor Julian Grübl and the chairwoman of the youth parliament, Marina Schorgg, presented a plan at a press conference on how the site could be significantly upgraded.

(By the way: Everything from the region is now also available in our regular Freising newsletter.)

The currently existing mounds of earth are to be expanded to various bike offers with dirtline or pump track. Verena Kuch made it clear that the cycling club would plan a concept for the facility. The football field is to be preserved and various areas are to be created. The central points of the structures are a basketball court and a calisthenic facility for exercising in many forms. Opportunities should also be offered to be able to play table tennis or volleyball. "We have beautiful football fields in Moosburg," said Verena Kuch, "but not all young people just want to play football."

In addition to the sporting areas, older young people should also have cozy meeting places.

The applicants think of wooden loungers like in the district court garden, hammocks or nest swings.

A very important factor for the youth parliamentary chairwoman Marina Schorgg would be a barbecue area, at which one could also address the polluters afterwards through the obligation to register.

She emphasized that many go to the Isar to have a barbecue, where it is actually not allowed.

The new meeting point is to be the "integration driver"

Applicant Verena Kuch would like planning with hand and foot, in which, for example, the rubbish bins should be big enough for the classic pizza box. The wishes of young people should be taken into account and the planning of the site should therefore be approached with the future users via the youth parliament. “Such a meeting point would be a real driver of integration,” said Julian Grübl. The youth officer was thinking of the Amperauen development area just a few meters away. Many young people will move to Moosburg and could make new contacts and make friends.

Schorgg hopes that after the modernization of a number of playgrounds, the city should now orientate itself differently so that other age groups can also enjoy something.

The application for a site for young people stipulates that 2022 will be planned with close involvement of the youth parliament and that the structural implementation should then take place in 2023.
