Mexican President Andres Manuel Lopez Obrador renewed his country's support for Cuba and its rejection of the aggressive US policy towards it.
During a press conference, Obrador expressed his condemnation of the US blockade imposed on the Caribbean island for nearly six decades, stressing that "this blockade and pressure on the Cuban people is inhuman and unacceptable."
Obrador pointed out that "respect for rights between individuals as well as between countries is the way to peace," explaining that his country refuses to interfere in the internal affairs of other countries.
Obrador pointed out that there is an organized media campaign against Cuba that lacks the minimum balance, stressing that Cuba is a free and independent country that has positions worthy of respect and appreciation on many international issues.
