The economic situation has one appearance: the mirage of overheating.
One reality: regression.

When it comes time to hire, we pay for all of our backlogs in skills, training and charges.
Inflation is coming back to us, not full employment.
I prefer to face reality: we continue to beat the European record for deindustrialisation.
Our large groups invest outside of France.
Our foreign trade is an elephant graveyard.
Our per capita wealth, which exceeded that of the United States and Germany when the Socialists took power in 1981, is now 40% lower.
As our economy sinks, our influence sinks.
