The Minister of Foreign Affairs and Expatriates, Dr. Faisal Al-Miqdad, affirmed that Syria is making a tremendous effort for the return of the refugees and invites them to return to their homeland without any conditions or conditions, and they do not need an invitation. This return is voluntary and safe.
In a statement to reporters at the Conferences Palace in Damascus after the dialogue session on the media war on Syria within the joint Syrian-Russian meeting programme, Miqdad added that unilateral coercive measures impede the return of refugees, and that Western countries do not want them to return to use them in political pressure on Syria, and said: These countries are taking advantage of the pain. The feeling of every Syrian refugee outside his country to serve its political purposes.
Regarding the Arab move towards Syria, Miqdad explained that these moves are no longer a secret, and we encourage the rest of the Arab countries to do their duty towards Syria, which has defended all Arabs in the fight against terrorism and extremism, hoping that the Arab countries will make the right choice and work towards restoring the Arab ranks and making a unified effort to restore The usurped rights of our nation because it is in the interest of all.
The foreign minister pointed out that some countries obstructed any political progress after their failure to undermine Syria with terrorism and military action, indicating that the direct attacks by the Turkish and American occupations and support for armed terrorist groups and militias aimed at pressuring the Syrian state to undo the achievements and victories it achieved in its war on Syria. terrorism.
Al-Miqdad said: We do not accept the imposition of another will on the Syrians, and we hope the countries of the world will contribute to providing internal conditions such as ending terrorism and foreign occupation of some lands, and mobilizing all capabilities in order to achieve a safe, dignified and voluntary return of refugees to their homeland.
Regarding the dialogue with the “Qasd” militia, the foreign minister said: We are in dialogue with all our people, and the evidence is the recent developments in Daraa and the very positive developments in Deir ez-Zor. Whoever does this stops, whether in northeastern Syria, or in its east or northwest.
Miqdad indicated that the Syrian people are suffering from the illegal smuggling of their oil outside Syria under American protection and through armed militias that will pay the price for these stances.
