After the examination, now the agreement: The Opel parent company Stellantis will not outsource the production plants in Rüsselsheim and Eisenach.
Rüsselsheim - The car company Stellantis has given up its plan to outsource the production plants of the German subsidiary Opel.
The company and IG Metall have agreed to continue the headquarters in Rüsselsheim and the plant in Eisenach, Thuringia, within the German Opel Automobile GmbH, as both sides announced.
At the Eisenach site, production, which has meanwhile been stopped due to a lack of parts, is to be resumed at the beginning of the year.
The plant will then produce the entire volume of the Grandland model, as Stellantis explained.
The car has meanwhile also been assembled at other Stellantis locations.
