Starnberg - The number of citizens infected with Corona continues to skyrocket. “What worries me a lot is the situation in our clinics. The situation there is very serious, there is currently hardly any free intensive care bed, ”says District Administrator Stefan Frey, describing the situation. "Please get vaccinated or have your vaccination refreshed," said Frey. There will be the opportunity to do this on vaccination day in the Starnberg district office on Saturday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

There will be the opportunity to do this on vaccination day in the Starnberg district office on Saturday, November 20, from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.

579 new infections in the past week, mostly 100 percent intensive care bed utilization. In the district of Starnberg, too, the numbers speak a clear language: the fourth wave is rolling. “We have to maintain our health care and the only thing that helps is vaccination,” says District Administrator Stefan Frey with conviction. Although the vaccination quota in the Starnberg district is currently 70.54 percent above the Bavarian average, "that is not enough given the situation in our clinics".

A vaccination campaign will therefore be carried out in the district office next Saturday.

Mobile vaccination teams at the BRK vaccination center offer first, second and booster vaccinations.

The latter, the so-called booster vaccination, is administered after five months at the earliest, in accordance with the current cabinet resolution of the Bavarian state government.

Vaccination is possible from 12 years of age.

Children and adolescents from 12 to 17 years of age must be accompanied by a parent or legal guardian.

All vaccines are available, but mostly BioNTech.

The special vaccination day is designed for a maximum of 500 vaccinations.

The vaccination center in Gauting was closed on that day.

All those willing to vaccinate who have already made an appointment for this day will be contacted.

You will be offered a new appointment.

There may well be waiting times in the vaccination centers or during the mobile vaccination campaigns.

In this context, the Starnberg District Office points out that the first point of contact for the corona vaccination is still the general practitioner and specialist doctor.
