The Assistant Minister of Economy for Economic Development Rania Ahmed discussed with the Deputy Prime Minister of the Republic of Crimea Georgy Moradov ways to enhance cooperation and trade exchange between the two countries, on the sidelines of the activities of the joint Syrian-Russian meeting to follow up on the work of the international conference on the return of Syrian refugees.

During the meeting, which was held at the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade, the two sides discussed the mechanisms for implementing the commercial operations that take place within the framework of the joint commercial house Syria Crimea, which contributes to supporting the economy of the two countries and encouraging producers, including industrialists and farmers, to continue working and producing.

It was emphasized during the meeting the need to search for the most appropriate prices for joint goods and products in a manner that suits the required specifications and quality to ensure the continuity of bilateral trade exchange and to enhance the role of the private sector in this field.

The two sides also discussed the possibility of holding the first meeting of the joint working group between Syria and Crimea during January of next year.

The meeting was attended by the Director of the Commercial House from the Republic of Crimea, Vladimir Vladimir, the Director of the Local Production and Export Support and Development Authority, and the Director of the Commercial House from the Syrian side, Thaer Fayyad.

It is noteworthy that the Crimean Syria Commercial House was formed under the economic trade cooperation agreement signed between the Ministry of Economy and Foreign Trade and the Council of Ministers in the Republic of Crimea in August 2019. It serves as a center for exchanging export offers, information and data on exportable materials between the two countries and facilitating the conclusion of commercial deals between them.
