The acting head of the Iranian mission to the United Nations office in Vienna, Mohammad Reza Ghaibi, warned against making hasty and politicized statements about its cooperation with the International Atomic Energy Agency.
"Despite the difference of views on technical issues between Iran and the International Atomic Energy Agency, dealings exist between them to reach a final solution, and accordingly, member states are expected to avoid any hasty or politicized statement in this regard," Fars news agency quoted Ghaabi as saying.
Ghabi pointed out that there is a point of contention between the two sides over a specific area, against the background of Iran’s announcement of an investigation into the terrorist operations that targeted the region, and considering the arrival of the agency’s inspectors to it before the end of the investigation is a matter that goes beyond the frameworks of legal commitments.
Ghabi explained that "the enrichment operations at the Natanz and Fardo reactors, including waterfalls and new centrifuges, and enrichment at 60 percent or above the 3.67 level stipulated in the nuclear agreement are still going on with the knowledge of the IAEA."
Over the past months, the Austrian capital Vienna witnessed several rounds of negotiations to revive the nuclear agreement, the sixth of which concluded on June 20.
