The capacities of the Bruck vaccination center are to be increased.

At the same time, the district administrator appeals to all citizens to take advantage of the offer.

Fürstenfeldbruck - Last week, twice the number of vaccinations than originally planned was administered at the inpatient vaccination center in Fürstenfeldbruck;

around 1,800 cans were inoculated.

The district office is reacting to this rapidly increasing demand and will continue to expand its capacities as quickly as possible, initially to up to 4,000 inpatient vaccinations per week plus mobile vaccinations.

This is announced by the district authority.

The prerequisite is that the necessary staff is found.

The current workforce of around 45 (with different time models) would have to grow to around 100.

In this way, the district office is satisfying a need that apparently the doctors in the district can no longer cope with, according to the district authority.

The takeover of the vaccination center

The district office organized the takeover of the vaccination center in record time at the end of October. This was necessary because otherwise the award of the operator would have been delayed for months due to a legal dispute brought about by a bidder. Outsourcing for the meantime would have caused the same legal problems. Therefore, the logistics had to be set up in the shortest possible time and, in particular, the personnel had to be found and hired. "Fortunately, many employees who had previously worked for the BRK were available to the district office," says the message. The District Office is still looking for staff to increase the number, especially for the administrative area. Interested parties can contact impfzentrum@lra-ffb.de.

The tender had become necessary because the Free State of Bavaria had changed its specifications for the (state) vaccination centers.

The vaccination should primarily be carried out by the family doctors, the state vaccination centers should only be used as an alternative and primarily in the mobile area, so that their capacities had to be reduced by around 75 percent.

This is how it goes to the vaccination appointment

District Administrator Thomas Karmasin is happy that the transition went so smoothly: “It was quite a feat to take over the operation of a vaccination center almost overnight.

That is not one of the main tasks of the district office, but is primarily a task of the resident doctors.

I am glad that we managed to do this without a vaccination break. "

“The situation in the hospitals is worrying.

I call on everyone who can still be vaccinated to: get vaccinated!

Vaccination is not a private matter, it is important for all of us, but especially for those who are dependent on intensive medical care. "

District Administrator Thomas Karmasin

Anyone who wants to be vaccinated at the vaccination center needs an appointment and has to register at www.impfzentren.bayern.de (also available on the district office's homepage at www.lra-ffb.de).

The vaccination center offered the nursing homes mobile booster vaccinations as early as mid-September and again at the beginning of November.

Almost all homes reported that the general practitioners were doing this.

The vaccination rate

The rate of those who were vaccinated for the second time in the district is as of November 14th at 60.2 percent. That is around 132,000 people (based on a population of 219 077), according to the district office. Of these, 57144 were vaccinated a second time in the doctor's offices in the district. However, these figures do not reflect the total number of district citizens who have already been vaccinated twice. Some of the citizens have been vaccinated outside of the district. “So you can only say that there are currently up to 87,000 unvaccinated people in the Fürstenfeldbruck district. The exact number is not known, "said a spokeswoman for the district office. If you subtract those under twelve - that's around 20,000 (as of December 31, 2020) - up to 67,000 people in the district could still receive a vaccination, but have not yet been vaccinated.

In contrast, the number for the federal states and the federal government is meaningful.

As of November 15, the vaccination quota for Bavaria is 67.4 percent.

The spokeswoman emphasized: Unvaccinated people have a significantly higher risk of having to be treated in a hospital.

According to the State Office for Health and Food Safety in Bavaria, 12.8 unvaccinated people are admitted per 100,000 inhabitants, while the value for vaccinated people is just under a fifth, namely 2.5 people per 100,000 inhabitants (7-day hospitalization incidence for the group of the unvaccinated or the vaccinated, source: www.lgl.bayern.de/gesundheit/infektionsschutz/infektionskrankheiten_a_z/coronavirus/karte_coronavirus/index.htm).

Vaccination appeal

The hospitals are already overloaded, the intensive care units are already full. Thomas Karmasin therefore appeals: “The situation in the hospitals is worrying. I call on everyone who can still be vaccinated to: get vaccinated! Vaccination is not a private matter, it is important for all of us, but especially for those who are dependent on intensive medical care. "

Doctors from various disciplines, such as gynecologists and paediatricians, are available at the Fürstenfeldbruck vaccination center for specific questions and advice.

For example, many people are concerned with the question of whether vaccination makes them sterile.

According to the experts, it does not do this.

Stiko recommends vaccination even if you want to have children.

Older people worry about their circulation, heart, or lungs.

These concerns are also usually unfounded.

It is better to clarify these and other medical questions with the experts on site than to avoid the greater risk of corona infection with serious consequences, it said.
