Russian Foreign Ministry spokeswoman Maria Zakharova confirmed that her country is not planning any military intervention in the Ukrainian territory, noting at the same time that the United States of America is pursuing irresponsible plans for hegemony in the Black Sea region.
And the Russia Today channel website quoted Zakharova as saying, in response to Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky’s announcement that Russia has mobilized about 100,000 fighters on the borders of Ukraine, “that the movements of the Russian military are taking place inside their country’s territory, unlike the operations of the American forces, and that they have never planned any military intervention. On Ukrainian territory,” stressing its right to mobilize any military forces anywhere within its territory.
Zakharova had recently confirmed that Kiev had adopted laws that contradict the Minsk ceasefire agreements between the two parties to the conflict in eastern Ukraine.
On the other hand, Zakharova expressed her country's hope that there is a sound logic in the American administration and that it will overcome irresponsible plans to achieve hegemony in the Black Sea.
