A 27-year-old man of Sudanese nationality was indicted and imprisoned for "
usual violence
" and the murder of his 13-month-old child, the Le Mans prosecutor's office announced Thursday (November 18th).

Tuesday, around 4:30 pm, the Le Mans police officers had been warned that “
help was being provided to a 13-month-old child on the public highway,
” the prosecution said in a statement.
Taken to hospital, the child died of his injuries.

The first elements collected led to the placement in police custody of the father of the child.
The autopsy of the young victim revealed multiple injuries of traumatic origin
”, according to the same source.
At the end of the police custody, the father of the child was indicted for intentional homicide of a 15-year-old minor and usual violence against a minor.
He was remanded in custody and faces a life sentence.
