4 workers at Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Plant fell into a manhole and 1 man and 1 woman fell into a coma when rescued

At about 4 pm today (18th), the police received a report from a staff member stating that 4 workers were trapped in a 3-meter-deep manhole in the Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Plant. At about 4 pm today (18th), the police received a report from a staff member stating that 4 workers were trapped in a 3-meter-deep manhole in the Siu Ho Wan Sewage Treatment Plant. The Fire Services Department dispatched a mountain climbing rescue team and an auxiliary medical equipment vehicle to the scene. For the rescue, a number of other ambulances arrived at the scene. Two of the male workers were conscious when they were rescued, and the other one male and one female were unconscious when they were rescued. They were sent to the North Lantau Hospital for rescue.

The police are investigating the cause of the accident, and "Hong Kong 01" is inquiring about the incident with the Development Bureau.


The injured were sent to North Lantau Hospital for treatment.
