The Moosinning community is getting a school kindergarten.

Moosinning - The local council decided unanimously at its meeting on Tuesday evening.

The location will be in the old school building in Eichenried - but only temporarily.

The Bavarian Red Cross (BRK) will be the sponsor.

In addition to the deputy district chairman Albert Thurner, Monika Poppel and Silvia Makas also came as BRK representatives, who reported that the BRK already operates two school kindergartens in Erding and Dorfen as well as a children's home in Erding. "Back then, District Administrator Martin Bayerstorfer described the first school kindergarten as a lighthouse project," said Poppel proudly. The school kindergarten is a "preparatory facility". It can only be visited for one year, and there are certain entry conditions, explained Makas. In principle, it is intended for children who are postponed when they enroll in school, the so-called "corridor children", but also for children who have specific needs in the last year before going to school. The topics are tailored to the age of the children, said Makas, and Poppel added:“The preschool in kindergarten is a little different than in school kindergarten.” The children are introduced to school in a targeted manner, which has proven its worth.

"How intensive is the contact with the school?" Asked Andreas Humplmair (CSU). The school kindergarten always runs in cooperation with the nearest school, said Makas: "If the school is within walking distance, the contact will of course be more intensive." What is the daily routine like, asked Leo Brenninger (BE)? "Basically like in a 1st class", explained Poppel. "The morning is the school part, then we have a fixed lunch, and in the afternoon there is no school, there is more of a game." The program is generally more playful, with a lot of emphasis being placed on concentration. What is very important: "The child must not lose joy."

“We definitely need that”, enthused Vice-Mayor Werner Fleischer (BE) and adds with a smile: “I would also like to have a lighthouse project in the community.” Manfred Lex (CSU) sees it as a “good addition”. Children who have been postponed would no longer take up kindergarten places that were urgently needed.

Mayor Georg Nagler (SPD) then explained the administration's proposal to temporarily accommodate the school kindergarten in the old schoolhouse in Eichenried. The first idea was of course to accommodate the school kindergarten at the school in Moosinning, "but that was a spatial problem". Then the administration came to the old school building in Eichenried. The advantage: “There is no need to change the use.” And so a school kindergarten group with 20 and an after-school care group with 25 places is to be created there. Nine children are currently on the waiting list, 36 children, including 34 kindergarten children, are currently being looked after in external institutions. "In individual cases at the request of the parents, but often because the required places in the community are missing," explained the mayor. There are currently 97 children in lunchtime care.

Georg Nagler explicitly emphasized that it was only a temporary use of the old school house, and he stated: “We want to build a new children's house.” The school kindergarten and after-school care group should then move there. According to a cost estimate by the administration, the costs that the community will have to face to upgrade the old schoolhouse, including the necessary furniture, will be a good 130,000 euros.

“I am fully behind the concept,” said Fleischer, and Lex said: “It is important to me that the kindergarten supervision and building authorities have approved.” So the local councils finally voted unanimously for the temporary use of the old Eichenried schoolhouse as a day care center and school kindergarten - and that the BRK takes over the sponsorship.

The mayor finally announced that the start was planned for February 1, 2022.
