Murnau - To promote health-conscious behavior for the next generation, the Felix Neureuther Foundation, together with the Technical University of Munich, developed the unique training and special offer “Move yourself smart! Day care center ". The free participation of all day care centers in the district is made possible by the Zugspitz Region GmbH together with the Felix Neureuther Foundation and sponsors. “As the BG Unfallklinik, there was no question that we would accept this unique offer and implement it in our in-house day-care center. The program 'Move smart! "Move smart! mit Felix Neureuther “includes playful movement exercises that activate the head and body at the same time. Because the combination of thinking and movement can improve cognitive performance and thus actively prevent stress in children. Children who are given a wide range of movement experiences from the start, and thus have confidence in their motor skills, develop a realistic self-assessment and a positive self-concept earlier. They enjoy games and sports more and are more likely to stay physically active for a lifetime. The project is primarily aimed at children from 1 to 3 and from 4 to 6 years of age and contains a specially tailored program for each age group. In the project, the children should receive age-appropriate perception and movement impulses and thus in their motor, cognitive and emotional-social development are promoted. As a scientific partner, the Technical University of Munich develops, tests and sustainably supports the program.

“My goal is to motivate children to do more sport and to give them joy in movement.

Because exercise is important for a healthy future, ”says Felix Neureuther, explaining his commitment.

The campaign kicked off in September 2021 and all participating daycare centers in the Zugspitz region received their blue BDS boxes.

"We are happy about the project so that we can offer our children even more variety," says Monika Kiehn, head of the day care center at the BG Unfallklinik Murnau.
