A human rights report: The catastrophic situation of Yemeni children

Entisaf Organization for Women and Child Rights in Yemen confirmed that Yemeni children are being systematically targeted by the coalition led by the Saudi regime, explaining that the number of children victims of the aggression bombing is close to 8,000 martyrs and wounded.

And the Al Masirah Net website quoted the organization as saying in a report published today that the number of children with various disabilities caused by the aggression amounted to 5559 cases, while the cases of tumors among children recorded a significant increase, reaching 71 thousand injuries since the start of the aggression, to which 9 thousand cases are added annually.

The report indicated that more than 3 million children suffer from malnutrition, while more than 300 children die every day, while more than 3,000 children suffer from congenital anomalies, and more than 3,000 others need open-heart surgery outside Yemen.

The human rights report pointed out that the closure of Sana’a International Airport prevented more than 30,000 children with various chronic diseases from traveling for treatment abroad, pointing out that regarding the tragic situation of children in education, there are 2 million Yemeni children out of school, while half a million others have left them completely since start the aggression.

The report called for quickly stopping the aggression, lifting the siege, and opening airports to Yemeni patients, especially children.

The Saudi regime has continued its aggression against the Yemeni people since March 2015, leaving tens of thousands of victims and massive damage to infrastructure.
