Within the framework of the Syrian Culture Days and the cultural and humanitarian program “From Russia to the Syrian People Together in the Name of Peace,” the Ministry of Culture, in cooperation with the Russian President’s Office and the Russian Defense Ministry, organized an artistic evening dance for the Academic Musical Ensemble Beryozka and the Pyatinsky Choir at the Opera Theater at Dar al-Assad for Culture and Arts.

The ensemble and choir presented dance and singing links that expressed the folklore and heritage of the various Russian provinces and embodied the richness of the Russian Federation and the diversity of its environments.

In a speech, the Minister of Culture, Dr. Lubana Mushawah, welcomed the members of the Russian delegation participating in the joint periodic meeting of the Syrian and Russian coordination bodies on the return of refugees and displaced persons, which was held in Damascus, pointing to the initiative of the friendly Russian people who stood by Syria in the war against it, and today stands by its side in overcoming the effects of the war. To move forward to build it as we love and deserve and as we are worthy of it.

The Minister of Culture praised the Russian ensemble and choir, who carried roses with them to the Syrian people, and they represented a picture of the nature of their country, pointing to the great similarity between the Syrian and Russian heritage in terms of folk dances with their grace, fluidity and collectiveness, which in her opinion reflects the innate orientation of peoples in the tendency to love and live in peace.

In turn, the head of the Russian-Syrian Coordination Center for the Return of Refugees, Mikhail Miznetsev, spoke about the cooperation of the two sides in organizing events, foremost of which is the Conference on the Return of Syrian Refugees and Displaced Persons to their country, noting that the two Russian teams that presented the evening today are among the most famous big teams in his country and are working to spread Russian values ​​and culture in the world.

Mizntsev pointed to the great coordination with the Ministry of Local Administration in Syria and the tangible steps in all fields aimed at supporting the Syrian economy and rebuilding the infrastructure and the fields of health, education and culture for their great importance, noting that the joint delegation's visit is the third and is characterized by the fact that the number of members of the delegation is greater in terms of number and diversity. located in it.

Deputy Director of the Russian Presidential Affairs Department Olga Lyakna thanked the Syrian side on behalf of the Russian Federation and everyone who contributed to the humanitarian initiative that helps thousands of Syrians to return to their homes and restore a peaceful life to their homeland, stressing the importance of working within this framework within a short period of time to implement community and humanitarian initiatives.

She pointed out that art, culture and music do not need translation, as it unites people and dissolves contradictions, as there is space for human-to-human interaction, especially with the heritage diversity that characterizes Syria, which the Russian delegation was briefed on during its visit to many Syrian regions, which embodies, in her opinion, the extent of close communication with Roots and history.

At the end of the evening, medals in appreciation of the Russian delegation and souvenirs for the two musical groups were distributed by the head of the Russian-Syrian Coordination Center.

The evening was attended by a number of ministers, members of the diplomatic corps, members of the People's Assembly, media professionals, the Russian President's special envoy to Syria, Alexander Lavrentiev, and members of the Russian delegation participating in the joint regular meeting of the Syrian and Russian coordinating bodies on the return of refugees and displaced persons, held in Damascus.
