The pandemic plan of the traffic light does not seem to go far enough for the Union and Angela Merkel.

You submit your own Corona resolution proposal.

Berlin - The fourth Corona * wave has reached Germany with full force.

So it is no wonder that the corona summit between the federal and state governments on Thursday (November 18) is awaited with great excitement.

It is already clear that the measures taken so far will be massively tightened.

However, there is great disagreement between the traffic lights from the SPD, Greens * and FDP * and the Union.

NRW Prime Minister Hendrik Wüst (CDU *) recently called the traffic light's Corona plans inadequate, and Executive Chancellor Angela Merkel * (CDU) also joined the debate on Wednesdays.

She, too, apparently wants a harder pace from the traffic lights.

Merkel called on the Bund-Länder group to think about pandemic measures that went beyond the 2G rule.

Corona draft resolution leaked: Union the traffic light plan is not enough

The traffic light coalition under SPD * Chancellor candidate Olaf Scholz * had refined its draft law.

Among other things, the federal states should be given the opportunity to impose contact restrictions or to limit the number of guests in the catering trade.

But that still does not seem to be enough for the CDU / CSU union.

At the general meeting of the German Association of Cities on Wednesday in Erfurt, Merkel emphasized in a video link that the current pandemic situation was "dramatic".

And: "The fourth wave hits our country with full force." Therefore, the Corona summit on Thursday is "overdue".

Even more: As Bild reported on Wednesday, the Union has also drawn up a draft resolution for the deliberations on the planned Corona law in the German Bundestag, in the Bundesrat and at the federal-state summit.

According to the picture from the draft resolution of the Union before the Corona summit, the following points take place:

Corona resolution draft of the Union: An overview of the planned rules of the CDU / CSU

  • 2G rule consistently and nationwide for unvaccinated people:

This was already announced by Merkel's statements. According to Bild, the draft resolution states: “The federal states will therefore, if they have not already done so, access to leisure events and facilities, cultural events and facilities, sporting events and exercises and other events - especially indoors -, catering facilities, close to the body Restrict services and accommodation to vaccinated and convalescent people (comprehensive 2G regulation) in order to break the infection dynamics. "

  • Partial lockdown for hotspots:

Contact restrictions or even closings in certain areas should be enabled.

For example, the federal states should "consistently make use of the further possibilities of the Infection Protection Act in the event of a particularly high infection rate (...)".

  • Economic aid: The

fact that these appear in the draft resolution could be an indication of imminent closures.

"The federal government will extend the bridging aid III Plus (including the restart aid) beyond December 31, 2021 by three months until March 31, 2022 in order to mitigate the economic consequences of the pandemic," is quoted from the draft resolution.

  • Protection of nursing homes:

    testing is to be increased.

All employees as well as visitors should “present a negative test certificate every day that is not older than 24 hours”.

And: “Vaccinated employees have to show a negative test result up to three times a week.

These tests can also be carried out as a self-test. "

  • Bonuses for nurses:

Employees in the nursing professions should again receive a bonus as “recognition of their commitment in the currently very challenging situation”.

  • Home office obligation:

Wherever and whenever possible, work from home should be made possible.

Exceptions are, for example, the manufacturing industry or the handicrafts, if services cannot be provided at home.

  • 3G in buses, trains and trams:

The 3G rule is to be introduced in local and long-distance public transport.

This means that in addition to the ticket, inspectors would also have to check the passengers' proof of corona.

  • Schools and day-care centers:

PCR tests are also to be used more in schools and day-care centers.

The Union does not mention school closings.

  • 2G plus in discos, clubs and bars:

party only with vaccination / recovery plus test?

If you want to go to a club or bar, you need a negative corona test in addition to proof of vaccination or recovery.

  • Free masks:

For a good year and a half,

    masks

have been mandatory in various places in Germany.

Masks "as well as antigen tests and other material to contain the pandemic" are to be made available by the federal government free of charge.

  • Harsher penalties for violations:

The fines for corona violations are to be increased.

  • Free tests:

The federal government should again cover the costs for the citizen

    tests

    .

Meanwhile, the number of corona cases and the incidence in Germany continue to rise rapidly *.

On Thursday (November 18) the 7-day incidence was 336.9.
