Those concerned with the ration family in Hama demanded an increase in the governorate’s allocations of fuel and domestic gas, granting approval to license a bakery in the Al-Baath neighborhood, and addressing the issue of staff shortages in Syrian trade halls.

During an expanded meeting with the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection, Dr. Amr Salem, at the Hama governorate building, the concerned people discussed the reality of bakeries and the issue of fuels for goods transport vehicles, especially those transporting cement from the Omran Corporation branch to its affiliated centers in the governorates.

Minister Salem referred to the role of the participants in the meeting in securing basic materials and commodities for citizens at reasonable prices and activating the markets, pointing out that it was approved to increase gas stations in the governorate to sell diesel and octane 90 gasoline for sale through the electronic card, as their number became 6 after adding Hama and Mahardah stations, with the aim of Securing the fuel needs of industrial and commercial activities.

With regard to bread, Minister Salem explained that the quantities of flour delivered to bakeries and the resulting bread material are currently being checked as a first stage, provided that the quantities entered and output are checked in the mills and their warehouses.

In turn, the Governor of Hama, Engineer Muhammad Tariq Kreishati, stressed the necessity of securing diesel fuel for the governorate’s farmers, because the allocated quantities are not sufficient for the needs of the agricultural sector, and to speed up work by opening a bakery in the town of Morek in the northern countryside of the governorate, especially with the return of the people to their homes, where their number exceeded 1500 families.

For his part, the head of Hama Chamber of Industry Ziyad Arabo referred to the role of the industrialist in moving the wheel of production and securing the local market's needs of various commodities and merchandise, noting the return of a large number of establishments to work and production.

The head of the Hama Chamber of Commerce, Abdul Latif Shaker, called for extending the period of granting car import licenses from 3 to 6 months, pointing out that the Chamber’s board of directors set a set of goals to work on during the coming period by forming committees and distributing them according to specialization, in addition to developing an action plan to move markets and strengthen The purchasing power of citizens, reducing prices, organizing exhibitions and bazaars that meet the needs of citizens and reduce the economic burdens on them.

After that, the Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection inaugurated 3 Syrian direct sales halls for trade in Al-Manakh neighborhood in Hama and the villages of Al-Hamiri and Beisin in the countryside of the governorate, with the aim of meeting the citizens’ requirements of all basic materials at reasonable and competitive prices for the local market.

The director of the Syrian branch of trade in Hama, Khaled Fadel, said in a statement to SANA that the Amiriya Hall in Hama has stopped working since 2011 and has been sabotaged as a result of the attacks of terrorist organizations. Various materials of good quality and reasonable prices.

The Minister of Internal Trade and Consumer Protection was also briefed on the reality of the work of silos as their farms and the quantities of wheat stored within them.
