The dispute between the basketball association and the league administration is expected to continue in the coming months, especially after the association's dramatic decision to return the management of the Premier League to the association after 19 years in which the league is managed by the administration.
The league administration has taken the union's decision hard, and officials involved in the details say it should be examined whether under the agreement re-signed between the parties only last year it is possible to leave it with a few months notice or at least one year notice or more.
The union claims that for their part, the administration members have taken too much power into their own hands and are not willing to listen to the demands of the body authorized to manage basketball in Israel.
The person who will try to mediate between the parties is the chairman of Maccabi Tel Aviv, Shimon Mizrahi.
Mizrahi, who serves as the union's acting chairman and enjoys a strong position in the administration, said: "I am confident that we will be able to reach understandings as we have known countless times before. The basis of the dispute between the union and the administration is the number of ups and downs.
