At least 15 people were killed on Wednesday during protests calling for the return of the overthrown civil power at the end of October.

The crackdown continued Thursday morning in Khartoum.

Tear gas was heard in the Sudanese capital, where security forces were struggling to dismantle the last barricades.

The day before, the police opened fire on the anti-Putsch demonstrators with dispersion grenades but also with live ammunition, killing at least 15 people.

This record makes this Wednesday the bloodiest day since the October 25 coup.

The northern neighborhoods of Khartoum have been the most affected by this violence.

At least 11 people were killed there, including a woman, according to the doctors' union.
