Allgäu - Expectant fathers or companions of sick people have access to the buildings of the clinic group despite the ban on visiting.
Whether they have been vaccinated or not, they are now required to be tested.
With the entry into force of the amendment to the 14th Bavarian Infection Protection Measures Ordinance of November 15, 2021, the following applies to all visitors / accompanying persons who fall under the exception regulation of the general ban on visiting the clinics in Mindelheim, Ottobeuren, Kempten, Immenstadt, Sonthofen and Oberstdorf:
Visitors who have exceptional access to hospitals must present a negative test every time they visit the hospital (rapid antigen test not older than 24 hours or PCR test not older than 48 hours - both from an official test center).
This also applies to vaccinated and recovered visitors.
The following are therefore affected by this regulation:
Companion of underage patients who are currently under treatment
Companion for patients in the palliative care unit and in dying situations.
Companion of patients with whom communication is difficult or impossible due to a corresponding illness (such as dementia).
Other therapeutic or medically necessary visits that have been agreed with the responsible doctor in advance.
Birth of a child: presence of the father or another close reference person.
Please note the special visiting regulations for the maternity ward.
Patients who come for outpatient care (consultation hours, emergency rooms / emergency clinics) are still excluded from the new regulation.
The hygiene protection measures (wearing an FFP2 mask, distance in the rooms, etc.), as well as the general registration of all visits remain unchanged.
All planned inpatient admissions (including through the emergency room), all outpatient interventions / operations, all accompanying persons who are admitted (and fathers-to-be) are tested by the clinic.
On the other hand, visitors are not able to test them on site at the clinics.
