"Patria y vida" best urban song

The song "Patria y vida" by Yotuel, Gente De Zona, Descemer Bueno, Maykel Osorbo, El Funky, won the Latin Grammy for best urban song.

Beatriz Luengo, composer of the song along with the interpreters and wife of Yotuel, dedicated the award to the Cuban people and Celia Cruz.

The most important day for Latin music has arrived!

The Latin Grammy Premiere, the previous ceremony where most of the winners are announced, is underway and dozens of awards have already been handed out.

Here is a list of some of the featured winners:

  • Camilo, best pop song for "Vida de Rico"

  • Juan Luis Guerra, best arrangement for "Hopefully it rains coffee" (Private version)

  • Vicente Fernández, best ranchera / mariachi music album for “A mis 80's”

  • Grupo Firme, best band music album for "We have fun achieving the impossible"

  • Mon Laferte, best singer-songwriter album for “SEIS”

  • Vicentico gets the best rock album for "El pozo bright"

  • Vicentico, best rock song for "Now 1"

  • Juanes, best pop / rock album for “Origen”

  • C. Tangana, Calamaro, Jorge Drexler, best pop / rock song for “Hong Kong”

  • Petrona MartĂ­nez, best folk album for “Ancestras”
