Moscow-Sana

Russian Foreign Minister Sergey Lavrov considered that the West's attempts to impose its vision of the regime on the rest of the world are futile and futile, pointing out that a potential conflict is accumulating in the relations between Russia and the West.

Sputnik quoted Lavrov as saying in statements after the expanded meeting of the Russian Foreign Ministry today that “the West meets in narrow circles and takes an issue on the United Nations agenda, discusses it and sets rules for its solution without any discussion about it with other countries,” stressing that “attempts to fabricate these rules and then Transferring it as a standard to others is useless.”

Lavrov indicated that the West does not want dialogue on the basis of equality and continues the series of provocations, stressing that Western countries must be aware of the seriousness of the situation.

"In our relations with Western countries, severe conflict potentials accumulate because the West does not want to conduct business on the basis of equality and mutual benefit, nor to strive for a balance of interests, but only seeks to impose its own vision to solve any problem," Lavrov added.

With regard to the relationship with Ukraine, Lavrov said that Washington should be aware that some Ukrainian officials are waiting for the West to make a provocation that requires a Russian response, which the United States should try to avoid, considering that the irresponsible statements of the American and British defense ministers regarding “Britain building naval military bases in the sea Azov to protect Ukraine from Russian aggression is on the one hand funny and on the other dangerous.”

Lavrov made it clear that the (Normandy format) meetings will not be held before Kiev implements all the provisions of the Minsk agreements to settle the conflict in southeastern Ukraine.

During the same meeting, Russian President Vladimir Putin called on those in charge of Russian diplomacy to work to confront Western attempts to monopolize international decisions and impose dictates.
