District - A constructive exchange, good and open discussions as well as a common idea made it possible: After extensive renovation, the former Alpenhotel in Ohlstadt has been converted into new employee apartments at the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic.

The 1,225 square meter building offers space for 19 one to five-room apartments - primarily for nurses - and is ideally located for employees at the Murnau location due to its location and connection. “With these new apartments, we have created the opportunity to bring interested nurses to Werdenfelser Land or to offer our employees living space close to their workplaces,” says a delighted Managing Director Frank Niederbühl. “We are aware that it can only be a drop in the ocean,” adds Deputy District Administrator Michael Rapp, “but the clinic's 234 employee apartments are an important part of the appeal of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic Employer underlines ".

District administrator Anton Speer, Christian Scheuerer, the mayor of Ohlstadt and several members of the local council were also able to see for themselves that the project was successful. The previous billiard room became an apartment with a built-in kitchenette, the restaurant area became a 5-room apartment and under the roof there are two apartments with large gable windows, a roof terrace and a view of the fascinating mountain landscape. Each apartment has a cellar compartment and a shared laundry room is set up in the basement. The first 8 tenants have already moved in, even if there is still some remaining work to be done. Not all apartments have been taken yet, but the idyllic location and the good connection, both towards Murnau and Garmisch-Partenkirchen, speak for themselves.Mayor Christian Scheurer and District Administrator Anton Speer are pleased that “after almost two years of clearing out, demolition, reconstruction and renovation, the employees of the Garmisch-Partenkirchen Clinic in Ohlstadt now have attractive apartments at their disposal”. kb
