Meghan, Prince Harry's wife, appears on "The Ellen DeGeneres Show" on her first visit to a television talk show since she became a member of the British royal family.

Formally known as the Duchess of Sussex, Meghan sat down with DeGeneres for an episode that will air in the United States this Thursday, the show's producers said Wednesday.

It was Meghan's first major television appearance since she and Harry gave Oprah Winfrey an explosive interview in March and explained their unhappiness for life within the royal family.

Meghan's appearance was her first visit to a television show since she married Prince Harry.

The "Suits" former actress, who gave up her acting career when she married Harry in 2018, recounted an anecdote about her multiple auditions when she was starting out as an actress in Los Angeles, according to a clip of her surprise appearance.

"I had this very old Ford Explorer Sport and at one point the key stopped working on the driver's side, so I couldn't get in the door," he told DeGeneres.

"So after auditions, I'd park in the back of the parking lot and open the trunk and get in, shut the door behind me and drag myself across all the seats to get out. That's how I came and went."

Since leaving their royal duties and moving to California in 2020, Meghan and Harry have largely restricted their public outings to charity events or conferences promoting the work of their Archewell foundation on issues ranging from media misinformation to women, hunger and mental health.

They have also signed lucrative deals with Netflix and Spotify to produce their own television shows and podcasts.
