The North Rhine-Westphalian company Deutsche Glasfaser is now also allowed to tackle the bundling of demand in the municipality of Oberding.
Oberding - If at least 33 percent of the citizens sign, the company from Borken tackles the private-sector broadband expansion. At its meeting on Tuesday evening, the local council unanimously voted in favor of the company. After the detailed presentation by an employee of the company in the previous meeting, the councilors only had a few questions before the decision was made, which treasurer Georg Neudecker and mayor Bernhard Mücke answered. As Neudecker said, you can't just have a connection put in your house without activating it. "Put in only with the conclusion of a contract," explained Mücke.
As partner manager Enrico Hesse had already explained in the previous meeting, lines will always be laid up to the property line, so even those who do not sign immediately can still get a chance.
Those who join later currently have to pay a flat rate of 750 euros for the connection.

"In any case, there is no cable sticking out, there is no such thing in Isen either," added Mücke with regard to the possible appearance.
Glass fiber has also come into play in Isen, and in the district also in Forstern, Pastetten, Finsing, Berglern and Langenpreising, and demand is being bundled in Moosinning.
Schweiger also noted that Telekom had already done a lot in the area of the Internet, for example at school.
Mücke said dryly: "Telekom has shown no interest."
The expansion areas that Deutsche Glasfaser is tackling with sufficient signatures are the towns of Oberding, Aufkirchen, Schwaig, Notzing and the industrial areas in Oberding and Schwaig.
One or the other peripheral area is left out, however, because the private-sector expansion must pay off for the company.
For the area-wide expansion, however, the Free State beckoning subsidies for areas in which private-sector expansion is not possible.
Then the German fiber optic would integrate further addresses into their network.
If everything goes according to plan and enough citizens sign it (Hesse: “I haven't seen a project fail on this brand myself”), the construction phase is expected to run from the third quarter of 2022 to the fourth quarter of 2023.
To lay the pipes, the company mainly mills sidewalks - 15 centimeters wide and 40 centimeters deep.
