The Palestinian Prisoners and Ex-Prisoners Affairs Commission called on the international community to form a committee to investigate the crimes of the Israeli occupation against the prisoners in order to stop them and hold those responsible to account.
The commission clarified in a statement today, carried by Wafa Agency, that the prisoner Sami Al-Amour, who rose as a martyr this morning in the occupation prisons, is only a new victim of the deliberate medical negligence that the occupation authorities pursue against the prisoners.
The commission pointed out that the silence of the international community on the crimes of the occupation is unacceptable because it encourages it to persist in them.
About 5,000 Palestinian prisoners face harsh detention conditions, including 600 prisoners who need urgent medical intervention.
