Polish security forces arrested about 100 migrants who tried to cross the border with Belarus last night.
"Polish services arrested a group of about 100 migrants," the Polish Defense Ministry said in a statement today.
The ministry released a video clip showing Polish soldiers surrounding a large group of migrants sitting on the ground at night in a forest near a barbed wire fence.
Thousands of migrants, most of them from the Middle East, have been gathering for days amid sub-zero temperatures on the Belarus-Poland border, in an attempt to reach European countries to escape the crimes of terrorist organizations in their countries and Western interference in their affairs.
Belarusian President Alexander Lukashenko stressed the need to avoid turning the migrant crisis on his country's borders with Poland into confrontation and clashes, reiterating his commitment to defending the sovereignty of his country and its people.
