Today, President Bashar al-Assad sent a cable of congratulations to His Majesty Sultan Haitham bin Tariq Al Said, Sultan of Oman, on the occasion of the 51st anniversary of the Sultanate of Oman's National Day.
The text of President Assad's telegram reads:
I extend to you, and through you to the brotherly people of the Sultanate of Oman, my warmest congratulations on the occasion of the fifty-first Omani National Day, wishing you continued success and success in your relentless efforts for the advancement and progress of your country.
President al-Assad affirmed that the bilateral relations between the Syrian Arab Republic and the Sultanate of Oman have always been distinguished and exceptional, and we look with great satisfaction to the continuous development of these relations in all fields, in a way that enhances the brotherly ties between the Syrian and Omani peoples.
At the conclusion of his telegram, President al-Assad wished His Majesty the Sultan of Oman good health, happiness and contentment, and the Sultanate of Oman and its brotherly people continued progress and prosperity.
