Russian President Vladimir Putin called on those in charge of Russian diplomacy to work against Western attempts to monopolize international decisions and impose dictates.
In a speech delivered today during an expanded meeting held at the headquarters of the Russian Foreign Ministry, Putin said: "Russian-American relations are not at their best, but Moscow is open to dialogue and communication to resolve all issues."
Putin pointed out that Russia's relations with China are a true example of good relations, noting that "there are attempts to drive a wedge between the two countries by some international forces and parties."
Putin warned of the seriousness of the recent developments in the Black Sea basin, which has recently witnessed a significant intensification of Western military activities. Himself indicated that Moscow "is not seeking any escalation or confrontation in the region, but it must follow up the situation there."
With regard to the situation of migrants at the Polish-Belarus border, Putin considered that "the measures taken by Poland against migrants are cruel acts that do not show humanity."
