The fact is that before 2014, only a small number of celebrities’ violations of laws and regulations would become blockbuster news. The tax evasion of Liu Xiaoqing, which dates back to 2002, was considered the top news issue, but at that time Liu Xiaoqing was released from prison after being detained for more than a year. When it comes to performing arts work, there is no official interference.

According to the data, it is not difficult to see that when an artist encounters political controversy, it is indeed rare to get up.

Ethical disputes: strict regulations since 2018
Compared with issues such as violations of laws/regulations and political red lines, before the official upgrade of the "entertainment restriction order" in 2018, celebrities who caused moral controversy were usually not blocked.
At that time, any derailment, accusation of "scumbag", etc., would not make the official boycott his acting work. At most, he was abandoned by the market and fans voluntarily because of the collapse of his own image.
However, in 2017, "China Has Hip Hop" became popular. This incident also became the fuse for the official upgrade of the "Restricted Entertainment Order" in 2018.
