A serious bus overturning accident occurred at Shing Wan Road in Tai Wai near the entrance of Tai Po Road at 11pm yesterday (18th), resulting in a tragedy of one death and 12 injuries.
Sources at the scene stated that the bus captain suspected that the "wrong way" was eagerly rushing to the line, causing the bus to shovel up the middle road and then overturned.
A young passenger on the upper deck was put on the head by the bus and died on the spot.
Mr. Leung, the taxi driver who assisted in the rescue, said that afterwards, he broke the glass of the bus with a number of citizens to save his life, but saw someone in the carriage being crushed, dead and injured.

The bus involved was 88K. Sources at the scene stated that the bus was supposed to travel along Tsing Sha Highway in the direction of Tai Wai, but the bus was heading out of Kowloon. The suspected bus driver found "wrong way" before the bifurcation and turned in an emergency. The line was cut, and the bus accidentally shoveled up the middle road and then turned to the left.
The accident resulted in one death and 12 injuries. The deceased was a male passenger, and the other 10 men and 2 women were injured.
According to sources, the deceased was a young passenger from the upper class. When the bus suddenly overturned, he was thrown off his seat, his head was suppressed by the overturned bus, and he died on the spot with a headshot.
The taxi driver surnamed Liang met at the scene and immediately stopped to help save people. He still had lingering fears when he told about the incident: "I rushed to the (bus), and called 999 all the way to call the ambulance. Another person was with me. Pull open the windshield of the bus to save the people.” He said that after entering the carriage, he saw people being crushed and many people lying on the ground. There were also passengers injured and bleeding, moaning in pain.
The scene of the accident was in chaos, and the windshield of the bus front was seen shattered and fragments were scattered on the ground.
Many injured were rescued by firefighters one after another, lying on a stretcher bed and sent to hospital.
