"The truth is I am extremely happy, grateful to everyone. From the one who put in his 15 pesos, 20 pesos to the one who put in the million, which was in this case Saúl, the truth is, thank you very much to everyone," said Alejandro Barbosa, founder of Nariz Roja, in a live broadcast within the organization's verified Facebook account.

"Al Canelo, as always, thank you for that big heart, brother, for answering 'yes', always 'yes' to life without hesitation and I really acknowledge that very much," added Barbosa.
According to Barbosa, the 3 million pesos raised over three weeks will be used for chemotherapies and radiotherapies for children and women with cancer.
Canelo Álvarez will fight with Ilunga Makabu and will seek to be crowned champion in five WBC divisions
This is not the first time that "Canelo" has participated in an altruistic cause.
In October 2020, the boxer joined an initiative to help the black, Latino and Asian community in the United States with resources to mitigate the economic impact of the pandemic.
