As-Suwayda-Sana
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in As-Suwayda has started the exchange of apple prices delivered from farmers for the current season.
The director of the Foundation's branch, Rabie Ghanem, told SANA reporter that the amounts to be disbursed amount to 770 million pounds, indicating that the disbursement operations are carried out according to daily lists of eligible farmers and by checks transferred in their names to the commercial bank.
Ghanem explained that the approved prices per kilogram for the current season amounted to 1100 Syrian pounds for the first type for the red variety, 1000 pounds for yellow, 950 pounds for the muwashed one, for the second type for red 900 pounds, for the yellow one for 850 pounds, for the third type for the red one 500 pounds, for the yellow one for 450 pounds, and for the muwashed one for 350 pounds.
The branch of the Syrian Trade Corporation in As-Suwayda was shopping for apples for the current season, quantities amounting to about 1150 tons of storable items.
