Algerian President Abdelmadjid Tebboune terminated the duties of six Algerian consuls in France, against the backdrop of worsening relations between the two countries, after the offensive statements made by French President Emmanuel Macron towards Algeria.
And the Algerian newspaper An-Nahar quoted President Tebboune as saying in a press interview, “We do not accept the prejudice of the history of a people and we will not allow the Algerians to be humiliated,” adding that “Macron’s statements caused great damage to relations between the two countries, noting that the French president deliberately insulted Algeria.
Algeria summoned its ambassador to Paris last month to protest against the French president's statements that offended the history of the Algerian people's existence, and banned French planes from flying in Algerian airspace.
