A serious traffic accident occurred on Kam Tin Highway. At 6:44 am today (18th), a taxi heading for Tuen Mun on Kam Tin Highway collided head-on with a seven-person car. The fronts of both vehicles were destroyed.
The taxi ran out of control and shoveled the footpath, and the cab was deformed.
The taxi driver was in a coma and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital for emergency treatment, but he died in the end.
The seven-seater car was hung on a probationary driving license commonly known as "P". The male driver was sober and was sent to Pok Oi Hospital with the female passengers in the car for treatment, and then transferred to Tuen Mun Hospital.
The police summoned drug detection dogs to the scene to investigate whether anyone was involved in drunk driving or drug driving.
Kam Tin Road towards Tuen Mun near Po Te Road was once closed.
At 7:42 in the morning, the Transport Department announced that due to a traffic accident, one-lane two-way traffic would be implemented on the accidental section, and the traffic on the site is currently heavy.
