A 54-year-old from Valley woman who wanted to sell her wedding dress on the Internet fell for a computer fraud on Monday, November 15.
Valley - According to the police, an unknown prospect responded to the wedding dress ad advertised by the Valleyerin on ebay.
She wanted to buy the wedding dress for 250 euros.
Payment should go through the platform.
The stranger sent the 54-year-old a link.
The seller opened the link and followed the instructions.
She gave her credit card number and confirmed several codes and SMS for processing.
However, that was an insidious trap: The fraudster was able to make multiple withdrawals using the credit card number and the confirmations.

The fraud victim noticed this too late.
She had her bank account blocked immediately, but the as yet unknown person had already made several bookings and thus stole a sum of around 1000 euros.
