The northeast monsoon affecting the coast of Guangdong is gradually being replaced by an easterly airstream.
The weather in Hong Kong today is forecast to be generally cloudy with sunny periods during part of the day. The maximum temperature is about 26 degrees and the east to northeast winds will be moderate.

The observatory looks forward to warm weather during the weekend.
Next Monday, the northerly winds will strengthen and the day will become significantly cooler. On Tuesday and Wednesday morning, the temperature in the urban area will drop to about 16 degrees, and the New Territories will be lower by two or three degrees.

The Transport Department stated that the slip road from Tai Wai Section of Tai Po Road to Tsing Sha Highway (toward Kowloon) that was closed earlier due to a traffic accident, near Shing Wan Road, has now been unblocked.
The slow line of Hennessy Road (towards Chai Wan), which was closed earlier due to emergency repairs, near Stewart Road has now been unblocked.
