The bodies of 10 men, nine of whom were suspended from a vehicular bridge, were found on Thursday morning on a highway in the municipality of Cuauhtémoc, the Zacatecas state government confirmed through a statement. .
The event occurred in northern Mexico on Federal Highway 45, in the direction of the municipality of Luis Moya, on the border with Aguascalientes.

"These are male victims, whose bodies were transferred to the Forensic Medical Service for study, in order to determine the cause of death and obtain more data that contribute to their early identification," the statement said.
The first alert calls to the 911 emergency system were made by several drivers who were circulating on the road and reported seeing bodies suspended with ropes from a bridge.
The event adds to the wave of violence that the state of Zacatecas has faced for most of the year, for which the authorities reinforced the police presence and security in the area, while the State Attorney General's Office investigates the act.
For their part, the members of the State Peacebuilding Table condemned the incident.
Authorities say they are investigating the find to try to locate those responsible.
