Homs-Sana

34 scientific papers on renewable energies included in the scientific symposium entitled New visions for optimal investment of renewable energies in the reconstruction phase, which was held by the Renewable Energy Center at Al-Baath University in Homs for the fifth year in a row, in cooperation with the National Center for Energy Research and the Engineers Syndicate branch in Homs.

The scientific research in the symposium that was held recently at the Faculty of Electrical and Mechanical Engineering at Al-Baath University focused on several axes, namely, the applications of photovoltaic systems in buildings, building physics, energy rationalization, biomass and wind energy applications in residential communities and thermal applications in buildings, in addition to

Review of Law No. 23 of 2021 establishing a fund to support the use of renewable energies and raise energy efficiency.

Dr. Maen Salama, Vice President of Al-Baath University for Scientific Affairs, pointed out during the symposium the need for concerted efforts of the Syrian society and all scientific and research institutions and institutions, including Al-Baath University, with the aim of reconstruction and construction, upgrading the quality of scientific research and technological development, and employing their outputs in the service of the productive and service sectors, and achieving networking between scientific research bodies. In line with the objectives and requirements of the current stage, pointing out that reliance on alternative energies has become a global feature and has a major role in all sectors.

The aim of the scientific symposium, according to Dr. Younis Ali, Director of the National Center for Energy Research, is to meet researchers from all Syrian universities and centers specialized in alternative energies to exchange ideas and present new ones, given that the government is seeking them seriously through many projects, especially that universities and research centers are working together to formulate economic policies. development under reconstruction.
